1. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Running admissions throughout the year. Entry form is found on our webpage. When students initiate commencement, they automatically agree to the at all-time current terms and conditions and prices given by Aurora Vocalis (hereafter ‘AV’). Terms and Conditions are applicable and binding until terminated in writing, by either party.
Semester Fees are invoiced via e-mail at the beginning of each semester. Each semester lasts about 5 months: Fall semester from mid-August to mid-January and Spring semester from mid-January to mid-June. When a student enrols late in the semester the fee will be reduced accordingly. Single lesson fees will be invoiced after commencement and periodically. Choir students can choose to register and pay for a half (one semester) or full academic year (two semesters) at the time. Sibling discount only applies to individual lessons and not group lessons. The fees are non-refundable, due to absence by student (regardless of reason). Books, original sheet music and other teaching materials required differs and are therefore not included in the semester fee. Students are themselves responsible for acquiring the required materials. In cases where it’s possible to order through our services, administrative costs will be added and invoiced (includes shipping, handling and customs).
If the student is not able to attend a lesson, please give at least a 24-hour notice via e-mail or SMS to teacher or administration. In the absence of teachers, there will be a substitute teacher, or we will re-schedule if possible. For students with semester fees, if a teacher cancels more than 2 individual lessons that is not rescheduled or substituted, student may apply in writing for a refund.
1.4. PERIOD OF BINDING AND TERMINATION
Unless other agreements are made, the students’ place is reserved and automatically continued to the next semester and academic year – until terminated. Termination must be done in writing by 1st of June for the coming Fall Semester and 1st of December for the coming Spring semester, otherwise you will be invoiced for the next semester. AV reserves the right to terminate lessons for lack of payment, if a student is not making adequate progress, or if regular practice is not in evidence. One-month notice will be given in advance of any termination of lessons.
2. GUIDELINES AND TERMS FOR ABRSM* EXAMS AT BISS**
ABRSM is the responsible party for creating and conducting the exams. AV’s responsibilities are solely as the ‘Applicant Host’ and ‘Applicant’ for our students, and we follow the rules set by ABRSM http://no.abrsm.org/en/our-exams/information-and-regulations/

Entry rules are set by ABRSM, see http://no.abrsm.org/en/exam-booking/ The applicant must be of legal age. Our students or parents may choose to enter by them self, or have AV enter students on their behalf. Students not affiliated must contact AV administration for approval to enter exams at BISS. AV may assist with information and entries for all.
Those who act as their own «Applicant» and enters themselves, are also responsible for the payment and ABRSM’s rules only applies:
For those of our students who wishes for AV to act as their «Applicant» and enter them, the payment will go through AV. Each student will be pre-invoiced, and the price includes ABRSM’s entry fee (in Norwegian currency), a fee for foreign bank transfer and administrative costs (all in NOK).
